OLIVIA insp' REIRA - A Little Pain

It's been such a long time since I've updated my blog.
Been quite busy these days, having physical training everyday for the past 2 months.
And there was also the training for AHM twice a week.
Quite a few people have injured themselves because of this packed schedule.

Currently, I should have been on bike course.
But I couldn't ride the bicycle very well, and hence I was rejected.
Thus, I have to stay in camp.
Not much of a big deal. I'll have to go sooner or later anyway.
Staying in camp wasn't so bad actually.
Got to know the commanders-to-be better.
And I've friends with me, so I'm not so lonely anyway.
The days are quite boring actually.
I have quite a bit of time to read.

Regret is a waste of time. It's better to continue on with life.

I'm back!
Now having a long CNY break.
Life in NS is quite okay, other than some of the PT we have to do.

My BMT is ending soon.
5 weeks have passed.
At that time, it seems so long.
Yet afterwards, it would seem to be such a short time.

I'm having pain in some of my muscles.
Not used to the overuse of these muscles.
But, as said by a commando warrant officer,
"Pain is good. Extreme pain is extreme good."
It sounds so masochistic. XD

Home is such a nice place to be.
Never fully realised it until I went to NS.

Had a class chalet last week.
It was such great fun when everyone gathered together to play now that there is no longer any academic stress.
So all we did there were play and eat and sleep, although sleep seem to be lacking for some.
Played some mahjong, card games etc there, although I mostly just watched others play XD
Also watched some movies, such as Final Destination and FFVII:AC.
Three days two night of class fun, although not all turned up for various reasons.
Also, some of my teachers attended our chalet as well, some bearing treats (mainly food) XD.
It was enjoyable while it lasted...
Soon, the first batch of classmates is entering Tekong. Hereby, I wish them bon voyage! Good Luck!

Yesterday was officially the last day we have to go to school.
The four periods of lessons were spent rather unproductively (unless you count chatting as productive).
The performance for the graduating ceremony was not bad.
The teachers were quite cool.
Of course, the best performance was by my civics tutor.
It was so funny!

Paradoxically, while yesterday was supposed to be the last day of school, we still have to return to school today for almost a complete day of lessons.
Which explains why I'm up so early.

On another note, I have recieved the letter for enlistment.
I will be entering Tekong on 12 January 2007.
Must start training during the December Holidays.
But must get past the A's first. Haiz.
This will be all for now. Going to eat breakfast. :D

Tuning In To: Little By Little - Marion Raven

Got to know my full Chemistry results today.
Managed to score an A for it.
One of the few A in my class.
This is quite a tremendous deprovement from the promos, whereby more than half of my class scored A.
What does this imply?
Is the paper too difficult?
Or is there insufficient amount of effort put into studying for the prelims?
You decide.

Anyway, also got back most of the Biology papers.
Wasn't exactly ideal.
Especially for one of the essay qns in paper 2.
The rest was rather mediocre.
An A for Biology is definitely out of my grasp.
B is also quite hard to attain.
Even if I got zero for my essay for paper 3, I would still be able to get a C.
So, I will most likely get a C for Biology and maintain my record of 3As, 1C.
As can be deduced, I should start bucking up on my Biology.

Got back my full General Paper results.
Managed to improve from my common test results.

And get a C5 grade.
Not much, but at least I passed.
Compared to the borderline failure during my common test
(which was converted to a pass through moderation).

Hopefully it will retain or improve during the 'A' levels.

Yesterday was an amazing day.
Got to see the school spirit in its full glory.
Maths lecture ended at 11.30.
But the school policy states that we are not to leave before 12.50.
All the J2s didn't care, and confronted the lone teacher guarding the gates.
Bit by bit, students escaped out of the prison we call the school.
The teacher was absolutely helpless to curb it.
After a while, she gave up and returned to office.
The student population has triumphed over the tyrannical, oppressive rule of the school!
Hail to the students!

Finally the prelims are over!
There is not much time to rejoice over this usually festive occasion, as the 'A' Levels are around the corner, maybe even planning a sneak attack on us.
I have no false illusions that I will do very well for my prelims.
All these is the result of not preparing in advance.

Shooting BBQ

Went to the Shooting Club BBQ yesterday at East Coast Park.
I was the first J2 to arrive
because I didn't go out with them earlier, and hence did not have to help carry some of the drinks :P
Watched people flying kites around there.
Should have taken some photos, but didn't bring the camera.
Then, as more J2s arrived, we played some volleyball.
All that while the J1s were starting the fire and cooking the food. :D
Then, we were interrupted by the Chinooks and Apaches flying past.

After that, the J2s just enjoyed the food and drinks while the J1s cooked. :D:D:D
After much of the eating, we went to see a bit of the fireworks, only those aerial ones.
A phototaking frenzy followed.
It was an enjoyable outing.

Now Playing: Centre of My Life - Hillsong London

Looks like the hard work the guys in my class put in has paid off.
They have gotten first for the inter-class volleyball tournament.
CONGRATS!!
They have used up many of their breaks in between lessons to train for this tournament.
The match was quite intense.
At first, they got trashed 2-15 by 05S20 during the first match.
The second march, they managed to scrap throught at with about 15-13.
They then managed to win the last match barely, winning the top position.
It was quite a turn of events.
Hopefully my class will also be able to achieve terrific results in the prelims and 'A' Levels.

I'm back again for another update into my life in TPJC.

My Common Test continued on the first day of the restarting of school with Chem CT.
Then there was Physics and Bio on Tuesday.
Managed to survive through the onslaught.

Anyway, the results I got for this CT were quite okay...
Maths: A
Phys: A
Chem: A
Bio: C

...other than my GP (a C6)

The overall results for my class was quite dismay.
And still people were ponning lectures.
I'm in no position to criticise others,
but I do hope that they will start to work harder
so that they might be able to enter their desire course in uni.

So let's work hard, together as a class.

Finally, after such a long while of not blogging...
mainly due to a fair mix of busyness and lazyness
I'm back to keep this blog alive.

Anyway, Friday was the start of my common tests
With GP and Maths on the same day.
I doubt my GP results will be good, ~~as usual~~ .
Still got Phy, Chem and Bio after the June Holidays.
I'm sure many schools have completed their syllabus already.
My school is lagging by ~~a lot~~ a slight bit.
And with PW grade of 3.
Haiz....
Also, I just started replaying Maplestory
since many people in my class has been playing it.
Leveling very slowly.
Only lv32 now. :(
And got no meso also. :(

Was involved in the SL project 2 yesterday and today.
Went to the Centre for Exceptional Children in Bishan.
Was there to paint the half-walls at the boundary of the centre.
The centre was located within a private estate, so had to walk quite some distance.
The journey seems exceptionally long during sunny and hot weather.
Arrived later on monday due to some reasons.
Quite a lot of painting has been done already by then.
I helped to paint a little bit, then washed some paintbrushes, then...?
Just did some odd jobs here and there.
And for today, met at Bishan MRT at 9.30.
Then proceeded to the place.
Helped in touching up some of the pictures there.
By about noon, all the walls were done.
The walls were very nicely painted.
Too bad, but I don't have the pictures currently.
Will get from my friend and post them here if I can.

After all, even if I drop Chinese, I still have to stay in school for other lessons.

But, looking from the bright side, I have more time to complete my homeworks.
And revisions.
And there is still two periods of Chinese lessons every week during term 2.
Or, as they call it, two periods of '文化课' weekly.
I just hope that the lessons are interesting...
I'll miss my chinese teacher also...
She's such a friendly and nice teacher...
Makes lessons so much more lifely...

What happened last weekend...

Last weekend, my CG went around a small part of Tampines to do our SL project.
Went around collecting old newspapers, magazines, plastic containers etc.
Saturday was especially tiring, having to cover 7 HDB blocks in the day itself.
Luckily, we recieved assistance from the other groups, so we managed to finish it before nightfall...
Sunday was a slightly slacker day, with only 3 blocks to cover.
Managed to collect everything by about 1-2pm.
So had lunch with my classmates.
Overall, it was quite enjoyable, if you don't include lunging the newspapers, walking all over the HDB blocks, people slamming doors in your face...
Just Joking!

Flyers Frenzy

=.= The Sound I Hear Reverberating In My Head: Goodbye For Now - P.O.D. =.=
Went distributing flyers today with my class.
My group, consisting of Eric, CX and JR (and me, of course), went about Blk 383 to 396 distributing flyers.
We split into two more sub-groups, with Eric and JR covering Blk 383 to 389 while CX and me covered Blk 390 to 396.
We were rather efficient and could complete the distribution by about 5pm.
However, we still went on to help other groups distribute their flyers, going from Blk 388 to 312, helping to distribute for Blk 313 and 314, then went on to Blk 326 to pass some flyers to another group.
Finally, we went to Blk 342 to help yet another group distribute for Blk 339 and 340.
In the end, it ended at about 6.30.
Of course, throughout this time, we weren't always distributing flyers.
We also went to T-mart to buy drinks.
All in all, it was quite fun, but tiring.
Maybe my legs will hurt like hell tomorrow.

Get to have 2 days of holiday from an otherwise packed schedule of lectures, tutorials and CCA.

The week has been rather normal, with the exception of the celebration today.
Which is substandard.
And we can only leave at 12.50.
Unless you 'pon', of course.
So didn't get to visit my previous schools.
Will try to go back next year!

A new week has started, and I've come home at abt 7+. This year is going to be hectic, what with all the increased CCA burden, the workload for all the subjects, the waves of topical tests......
But I must succeed. Should I fail, I would have to repeat, and with a whole new syllabus, it ain't gonna be easy.
Gtg. Better finish my work at hand, before it piles up again.

Been a long time since I updated.
Maybe because I'm reaching home later and later.
4 of the 5 days have grown from about 3.30pm to about 4.10pm to 6+.
Let's see my lessons during weekday...

Monday: Lessons end at 4.10pm. But there is CCA after that. Probably lasts till 6+.
Tuesday:Lessons end at 3.30pm. But Maths S Paper starts at 4.30 and ends at 6.30.
Wednesday: Lessons end at 2.10pm. But CCA lasts till 6+.
Thursday: Lessons end at 4.10pm. Physics S Paper starts at 4.30 and ends about 6+.
Friday: Lessons end at 1.30pm. But for today and next week, Chem and Bio topical tests start from 2.30 and ends at 4.

So quite a large part of my life will be wasted in school. Such a sad life, don't you think?

Of course, these may be the price of education. Lack of free time for our own interests. Will not continue to nag and rant and blah blah blah any longer.
Hope you live a more meaningful life than me. ROFL.

Back from 05S01 chalet at the end of 2005!
Was fun being there!
Let's review what happened there.

Day 1 (27/12/05):

Met CX, Eric and JR at Pasir Ris MRT.
Took shuttle bus to Costa Sands (Pasir Ris)
Found our chalet house.
Went in and found door to air-con bedroom locked with people hiding inside playing cards.
Paid $20 for chalet to ZW.
Played cards, namely Big Two.
Got bored, started playing Blackjack.
Someone wanted more thrill, started playing Blackjack with bets of 10 cents.
Stopped playing for a moment, as all available coins have been lost, and also had to entrance to help carry some stuff.
Continue playing cards, while others started BBQ.
Went to entrance to help carry some more stuff, including Mahjong set.
Went back to chalet house, and started to prepare for mahjong.
Watched people played mahjong while enjoying BBQ-ed food and drinks.
Repeat foresaid action some more times.
Played cards again, now Big Two with forfeit (2 pushups per card).
Celebrated WT's birthday.
Ate cake.
Phototaking session.
Continued game.
Watched The Exorcist, while watching others play mahjong.
Watched The Twin Effect, while still watching others play mahjong.
Watched others play mahjong.
Others started cooking instant noodles as supper. Still watching mahjong.
Some started to sleep on mattresses on the floor. Continue watching mahjong.
Still watching mahjong.
Can't take it anymore. Slept on the steps of the stairs for a brief moment.

Day 2 (28/12/05):

Woke up. Sun has risen.
Washed face and brushed teeth.
Watch mahjong game.
Started taking some irrelevant photos.
Prepared to go home.
Went home.
Came back at evening.
Started playing mahjong.
Still playing mahjong, while others begin to BBQ.
Repeat foresaid action.
Watch others played mahjong.
Watched a short part of The One.
Watched Scary Movie 2.
Watched others play mahjong.
Started to play mahjong, while others went upstairs to play monopoly.
Stopped playing mahjong. Started playing Bridge.
Stopped playing Bridge. Started learning how to play German Bridge.
Play a round of German Bridge.
Stopped playing German Bridge. Feeling tired.
Went to sleep.

Day 3 (29/12/05):

Woke up and performed daily morning routine.
Left early in the morning.

The year of 2005 is coming to an end.
It was a rather enjoyable year, with much time spent in the Interact Club playing soccer.
Of course, there is also the homework that never clears. But who cares?
Shooting Club has been a wonderful CCA, where I got to know more friends and trained my shooting abilities (though I didn't improve much; I'm still a very bad shooter).
Now that the year of 2005 is ending, it also means that the holidays are ending.
And there's still loads of homework to clear.

I guess it's inevitable.
Anyway, 05S01 chalet is tomorrow!
So let's just enjoy it there, then care about the uncompleted homework!

Current Noise: Let There Be Love - Oasis
After more than 1 month of gaming (mostly), CCA, movies (okay, okay, maybe just 2-3 movies) and slacking, I'm back to posting a post on this blog!!
Yeah!!
Almost everyday would begin with me staring at the computer screen early in the morning (ok, so 7-8am is not exactly early). Of course, I don't stay up all night to play computer games or watch soccer, so I would be able to wake up quite early.
Now, out of total boredom (and not wanting to start on the mountain of what we call holiday homework), I'm blogging once again on this lovely Monday evening.
Doing nothing much currently, except listening to the radio through internet streaming, playing games on the computer and, of course, blogging. LOL.
Oh, and the shooting club farewell bbq is coming, so this may be the last time we meet with the seniors. Oh well. Everything that has a beginning has an end.
So that's all. ______ZZZZZ

We have finally broken through the living hell we call OP.........
And go into another hell known as holiday homeworks........
With some interludes in between (a.k.a. Movies, Games, Pool etc).......
Then at the end of it all, we have a class chalet!!
Yup!
At the end of the entire holiday.
So come on. If we survive the holiday, we will get the enjoy the chalet.
